AI Design Frontier Awards: Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

The AI Design Frontier Awards (the "Competition") is organized by AAL INNOVATION LIMITED (AAL) with the mission to bridge traditional design practices with future innovations, empowering participants to explore solutions that address contemporary living challenges using artificial intelligence (AI) tools. This competition invites architects, students, and design enthusiasts worldwide to leverage AI in creating functional, sustainable, and community-focused designs for a real site in Juja, Kiambu County, Kenya.

By registering for and participating in the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("T&C"). These T&C govern the rights and obligations of both participants and AAL, protecting both parties from legal risks while ensuring a fair and innovative competition environment. Participants are advised to read these T&C carefully before submitting entries. By registering for the Competition, participants confirm their agreement to these T&C.

2. Eligibility

• The Competition is open worldwide to individuals and teams from diverse backgrounds, including architects, designers, students, and enthusiasts.
• Students: Defined as individuals currently enrolled in a full-time graduate or undergraduate program at a university on the registration date. Students must provide a valid student ID or an institutional document to confirm status and are eligible for reduced entry fees.
• Teams: Entries may be submitted individually or by teams with no upper limit on members. Team member lists must be finalized by the last day of registration.
• Exclusions: Employees of AAL, their associates, jury members, community moderators, and contracted agencies are ineligible to participate or receive awards.

3. Registration

• Registration is only available through the dedicated Competition website upon payment of a non-refundable registration fee.
• Upon successful payment, participants receive:
  • A confirmation email with a unique registration number, which must be included on all submission materials in the bottom right corner.
  • Two discount codes for ARCHMASTER.AI and The Ultimate Generative Design Report.
  • A link to download the Drawing Package containing the hostel’s CAD drawings and material specifications.
• Multiple project submissions are permitted, but each requires separate registration under different numbers and accounts.
• The registration fee is non-refundable, regardless of withdrawal, refusal, or failure to submit an entry.
